More COMMUNICATIONS CUT - This time Ramsgate Neighbourhood Plans!
Following a Public Meeting I attended at Ramsgate Town Hall last December, I received an email from the assistant Town Clerk with my sologays email and my name next to it alongside all the other attendees that night. what alarmed me was the fact we were all being told to circulate this email far and wide so that as many people as possible could all turn up to another Public Meeting?
A splinter group or "advance party" was set up at the Ramsgate Meeting, and now they are inviting all Ramsgate people to some draughty old halls for a group hug and a mug of cocoa and a chat or something? They also set up a blog and called it "Promote Ramsgate" and invited contributions. I explained my concern above and highlighted other stuff to do with living in Ramsgate, and how poor we are at communicating generally in East Kent. I discovered today that the site operator has deleted all of my comments and attempted to answer me in a void:-

Solo - having worked with Eileen I am sure she would be horrified to hear of this clerical error - I can only assume it is because she has you saved in her contacts (have you made contact before?). It is a simple administrative error and I am sure Eileen will use BCC in the future. I do take your point of privacy seriously but perhaps a polite note to Eileen may ensure this doesn't happen again. I am sure she would offer her sincere apologies for the mistake in return.

So, could it be "wheels within wheels" will continue to hold back progress for us here in Thanet? Not only is it a little foolish, nay some may say sinister, to answer someone without the original questioner's words being visible, but Mr Smithson has failed to consider, or be concerned by, as to how or why it might be that subsequent to the above email circulation error by Eileen, a block has been put on emails coming from Ramsgate Town Council to the sologays email account, which I featured in a blog post here on the 16 December, a full two weeks prior to Mr Smithson's public statement above? He obviously feels there is no need to personally keep up and respond to events here at our blog, and that I should turn up to make our views known (again!) at one of their group hugs!
